Tropic Town Council Meeting

Town Council meetings are held the 2nd Thursday of each month at 6:00 p.m. in the Tropic Town Heritage Center 20 North Main Street * Tropic UT  84776. A 24 hour public notice of the agenda is required, all items to be addressed are to be given by Noon Wednesday ~ For additional information contact the Tropic Town Office Mon-Fri 435-679-8713 or email: [email protected]

The Town Council receives a copy of the Town's financial statement, the meeting agenda, as well as minutes of the previous month's Council Meeting prior to Town Board meeting. The minutes provided are a draft versions only - minutes become the official record of a meeting once they are approved by the Council in an open meeting. Draft versions of the minutes are available upon request.

The Utah Public Notice Website is a main source of all public notice information statewide. Public notices informs member of the general public of their local government activities, as well as county, and state. Tropic Town publishes all notices, meetings agenda, minutes and other information on the site * Utah Public Notice Website


Official records of the Town, Council Minutes, Elections, Regulations, Ordinances, Resolutions, Licensing, Budget, Zoning issues and other types of official Town business can be obtained upon request. Please submit the GRAMA request records form to the Town Recorder's office.
Town Clerk/Recorder

The Town Clerk/Recorder is responsible for maintaining records of business conducted by its elected officials. The Clerk/Recorder is responsible for preparing and posting agendas and notices for all Town sponsored public meetings, and records and transcribes public meeting minutes.  The Recorder is responsible for maintaining Town ordinances, resolutions, contracts, and other official documents and acts as the election official to coordinate all municipal and special elections. The Recorder acts as the Towns records official responsible for the Town's records management system.
